The pictures in these last two posts are absolutely exquisite, Will. The color is so vivid. The ripples and feathers, the shape of the graceful duck head. Mr. Mallard's profile! (Seen from the side...!) Beautiful.
I'm very interested to see how subtly different your Mallards are to our English ones. I posted pictures recently. By the way, I see you like Agatha Christie. You might like the biography by Laura Thompson - An English Mystery Agatha Christie.

We've had two ducks hanging around our neighborhood the past few days. They have really enjoyed the wet weather. :)
