Hey everybody. Just thought I'd let y'all know that my camera isn't working so I probably won't be posting for a while.
And on that subject: I've kinda been camera shopping for a while but haven't decided on a brand or model and I'd really appreciate some input on the subject. Feel free to leave me a comment and tell me what you like or dislike about your camera or other cameras that you've seen and any recommendations you have. Thanks.

Hi Will, I went out and bought a PC How-to-Guide Digitial Photography Buyer's Guide Magazine which has prices specs and features of 300= models and was well worth the $14.95 I paid for it. There were reviews and comparison charts as well. The mag I bought comes off the stand July 13th which must mean a new one is coming. I bought a Canon Powershot SD990 IS to have a small camera. I have't started using it yet. It is one in the "budget" range...but this same mag reviews the full spectrum of Full Frame D-SLR's. They rated the top fourfour on a 10 scale like this:A 9.3 for Nikon D700, 9.2 for Canon EOS 5D Mark II,a 9.2 for Nikon D3x, & an 8.8 for the Sony Alpha DSLR-A900

Hi. I'm friend of the Bankesters (that's how I heard of this blog), and I just want to say that I really enjoy reading your blog and love your pictures. As for camera recommendations, the fuji s8000 is pretty awesome-- 18x zoom, super macro, and bunch of other stuff. (however, it's not SLR, but it's like the canon s3 is that you were using) The best part is that you can get it plus ton of nice extras for $200 on ebay buy it now (cheaper without extras). Anyway, all for now.

My favorite songs (sorry, I have two :)) are, "This is My Son" and "Goodbye" although I don't actually own the cd. I only own the first Cherryholmes cd that is on Skaggs Family Records. :( I'd love to get the other two sometime... Do you have a favorite song??

Hi Will! Most of the people that I know have Canons of various sizes and specs. We all like them very much. I believe that ours is a Canon Powershot, and even though it's 5 years old now (and obviously horribly out of date) it STILL takes fantastic photos and video footage. Just my 2¢ ☺

I currently love the Cannon Power Shot G-10. I got one for each of my staff members at the university. It's an excellent camera, and it runs around $500.00.
