Cabin Fever

I thought I would post a few pictures from a week spent in Ely, Minnesota to try to convince myself that it actually was warm and sunny and green at one point in the year and that it hasn't always been the Ice Age that we seem to be experiencing right now.

Each one of these pictures is truly beautiful, Will. I will spend much time drinking them in.
Thank you for sharing. I'm so glad we went to Ely. Can't wait to go again.

If you come over to my house we can crank up the woodstove (80's maybe)...it'll be missing the humidity, but hey. We'll make lemonade and wear t-shirts and watch camera videos of the 4th of J. fireworks.

Somehow I don't think I'll be convinced. :)

I too am glad that we went to Ely. Hopefully, our time there won't be so short this year. :)

Question: When you load a bunch of images onto blogger, like in this last post, about how long does it take for them to fully load? When I load like four or five, it takes forever! (I'm probably just really
impatient.!) :) Or, you guys might have a better internet connection.

My camera doesn't take very high quality pictures so it only takes about a minute for me to load five images onto blogger. But if I'm loading higher quality pictures, like photos from Katie's camera for instance, it will take forever to load. The only way around it that I can find is to resize them before you upload.:)

These are beautiful and today with snow, ice and rain outside, it is a blessing to see the sun, green forests, a wonderful lake and a great sunset!

Thanks for sharing!

Well..... as usual you have made it hard for me to breathe. We have been in the middle of a three day ice storm, and it seems like forever. How can I complain when you have been in frozen weather for months. I miss Ely!! and the people I found when I arrived at Camp Van Vac. Thanks for sharing!!!
