Our birdfeeder has been sitting on the deck for the last few days so that the birds would come right up to the house. Sunday morning I noticed that the string on top of the birdfeeder had been cut. Monday morning more of the string was missing. This morning my brother caught the culprit red-handed.

This Cottontail had been chewing up the string and carrying it off.

April Snowstorm

Great Horned Owl

At about eleven o'clock this morning some crows were making a ruckus in the woods behind our house and, suspecting an owl, I grabbed a camera and went out to investigate.

After about half an hour of stalking, I was able to snap this picture.

January Sun Dog

This morning it was -15 and very sunny. At about 11 o'clock, a brilliant sundog appeared and I had to take a picture.

White-Tailed Deer Fawn

An orphaned White-Tailed fawn spent the winter in the woods behind the house. I finally got close enough today to take a few pictures.

It took me about an hour and fifteen minutes to get this close without him knowing I was there but I finally did. All my sneaking came to an end when the shutter on my camera clicked.
